Annual Cluster Meeting

This will be the annual meeting attended by all 77 members of the cluster.

06. – 07.11.2026
Science & Innovation Days

The University of Tübingen is celebrating its anniversary – and the Science & Innovation Days are joining in the celebrations! The central theme is ‘The Value of Science’. On 6 and 7 November 2026, visitors will explore exactly what this means together with researchers at various venues across Tübingen: What value does science create? How can it be measured, and how can we work together to realise it?
Science cannot provide the answers on its own – they must emerge from dialogue with society and the political sphere. Over the course of two days, therefore, researchers will engage with the wider community at the Science Fair, in the Science Salon, and during numerous workshops and discussions at Tübingen’s major science festival for everyone.

GreenRobust is taking part in the Science Fair! We’re asking the question:
What makes plants resilient? The GreenRobust Cluster of Excellence invites visitors to extract dyes from leaves and explore the plant world through microscope images. In the process, interested visitors of all ages will learn how plants cope with heat, drought and other environmental stresses.

Türen auf mit der Maus

“Kleine Wunder entdecken.” Plants cannot run away, but how do they still survive heat and drought? In GreenRobust, you’ll find out for yourselves. Under the microscope, you’ll examine stomata, plant water conduits and water storage organs. You’ll investigate how plants cool themselves and learn about the beneficial and harmful microorganisms that live alongside them.
